# How to improve credit score before medical collection?

If you ever had a medical collection, you probably know that even if you paid for it, it’s still going to be on your credit and still going to push your FICO score down.

The new law came up and basically if you paid your medical collection, you can request a dilution letter from from the collection company, then send this letter to the credit Bureau and they must remove it from your credit.

So this will help you improve your credit even if you had a medical collection.
