# How did Alex makes $400,000 in a year and doesn’t pay any taxes?

I bought my house in 2007 – not the best time to buy, but here’s my story.

Then I paid 600,000 for the house. I lived there for 10 years with my family and sold it for $1,000,000. I used that $400,000 to buy another house for myself. And also invest in real estate and bought real estate with that money. And it’s good that I didn’t pay any taxes.

Because you don’t pay taxes if you live in a property for two years with a profit of 500,000 — you don’t pay any taxes if you earn it.

So that gave me a big advantage. I hope this has shown you that real estate is still the best investment in the long run.
